Dr. Shockness is a full-time Assistant Professor at B次元. She has been a nurse for 34 years and has taught for 17 years in both Undergraduate and Graduate levels.  Her Clinical experience consists of working at Health and Hospital Corporation (HHC) with a background in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal Child Nursing, Infection Control, and Clinical Nurse Educator.

Courses taught consist of Fundamentals of Nursing, Contemporary Topics in Nursing, Health policy, Med/Surg, Maternity, Diversity, Nursing Theory, Nursing Informatics, Nursing Research, Pathophysiology, Teaching Strategies, Curriculum Process, simulation, and Transcultural Nursing.

Dr. Shockness serves on various Committees in both the School of Nursing and University wide.

Dr. Shockness teaches in the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing programs.
